The Elim Center recently hosted Olivet Teen Mission youth retreats centered on prayer, worship, biblical teaching, and fellowship. Through opening and closing services, Bible studies, prayer meetings, panel discussions, praise nights, and group activities, Elim ministers and leaders served the next generation with the heart of helping them encounter God personally and grow in faith.
The retreats reflected World Olivet Assembly's continued commitment to raising youth through the Word of God, prayer, and the work of the Holy Spirit. WOA places great importance on youth ministry, recognizing that young believers must be nurtured early so they can understand their identity in Christ, build a personal relationship with God, and grow as faithful servants for the Kingdom.
During the boys' retreat, participants received messages on becoming temples of the Holy Spirit, finding God's calling, understanding the true meaning of prayer, and arising to shine in a spiritually dark world. Elim ministers taught that prayer is not simply asking God for help, but growing in a relationship of love with Him. The youth were encouraged to seek God sincerely, trust His Word, and live with a clear sense of purpose.
The girls' retreat also emphasized joy, prayer, gratitude, and spiritual maturity. The opening message reminded participants that true joy is not rooted in circumstances but in Christ. Prayer was described as the lifeline of faith, helping believers continually return to God and fix their eyes on Him through every situation.
Elim leaders also guided the girls through a panel and Q&A session, addressing questions about prayer, spiritual discernment, relationship with God, and the fruit of the Spirit. The youth were encouraged to look beyond temporary emotions and build their faith on Scripture, sincere prayer, and trust in God's love.
The retreats concluded with messages calling the youth to remain watchful in spiritual battle, resist temptation through the Word of God, and live as instruments of righteousness. Participants were reminded to pray without ceasing, depend on the Holy Spirit, and continue bearing the fruit of faith in their daily lives.
Alongside worship and teaching, the retreats included meaningful times of fellowship and recreation. Through games, outdoor activities, shared meals, swimming, kayaking, volleyball, and group outings, the youth strengthened friendships and experienced joy together in a Christ-centered environment.
Through the faithful service of Elim ministers, staff, and helpers, the retreats became more than short gatherings. They expressed WOA's vision to raise the next generation in faith, prayer, and service. May the youth continue to hold firmly to the grace they received, grow deeper in God's Word, and shine the light of Christ wherever they are called.
