Praise God for YEF NYU's second welcome event, "Bubble Tea and Faith Talks," on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. The event was held at NYU's Global Center for Academic and Spiritual Life.

Students arrived promptly at 3:30 pm. After receiving a cup of bubble tea, each student was asked to write down any question they wanted to ask about the path of faith, church life, Christianity, or about God. 30 minutes were allotted for students to have an open discussion about each of their questions. Some Christian students in the audience gave valuable comments to each question. Fellowship leader also shared insights and testimonies in response.

Students questions include:

"What are the Christian groups on campus?"

"Is there a specific church where NYU students frequent?"

"How do I stand strong for my Christian beliefs (i.e. sex after marriage, etc.) in a school like NYU?"

"How can I defend my beliefs and be open about them in a community where Christianity is not common?"

"How do I balance faith and peer pressure and social pressure?"

"How do you build community?"

"I heard a lot of Christians said that they heard the voice of God. Is it physically? How?"

"Why is the Bible the words of God?"

"Any suggestion for the churches near NYU?"

For this event, student leader of YEF NYU, Juhi, served diligently by ordering the large amount of bubble tea and praying together. Matthew, a non-Christian student who attended the Bible studies at NYU Polytechnic Institute and over the summer, also served by taking photos.

The purpose of this YEF "plate" event is to give students a taste of the Word of God and the community of Christ, in the hope of stirring their interest and desire to receive deeper grace of God. Many students also expressed interest in joining YEF's New Student Welcome Fellowship this Thursday.

Many thanks to all the prayers and sacrifices piled up for this event! May God continue to bring harvest to this dry land as His workers collect the Word of God into the heavenly storage.
