The Great Commission Mission Conference was held from August 3-5 in the Olivet Asia Pacific Center, where it hosted World Olivet Assembly members from 8 regions and 18 nations. The conference featured a great variety of lectures, reports and challenges from the mission fields, as well as elective workshops covering current hot button topics for Christians in the modern world. The program was designed with the purpose of sparking the fire for the Great Commission inside of the attendants, and find more workers for the harvest.
The lectures in the GCMC were centered upon Jesus Christ, from 'Why we need Jesus Christ?' to 'Jesus Christ- the Son of God', 'Meaning of the Cross of Jesus Christ', and 'the Resurrection and the Holy Spirit'. Many attendants testified through the lectures of being able to come to re-affirm their faith towards Jesus Christ, and to renew their commitment to being a witness of the Gospel.
Mission representatives from South East Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Asia Pacific each had opportunity to share both the challenges, as well as the opportunities presented in their mission fields. Since each of the presenters had over a decade in their mission fields, the realistic coverage of on-the-ground situations allowed the attendants to see the urgency of the work of the Gospel, and opened opportunities for the Holy Spirit to work to bring conviction and calling to each person.
The program was further enriched by experts in various fields, presenting workshops on a variety of topics that are relevant to being a Christian in this era. Six elective sessions covered the topics: 'Wise Management of Media Consumption', 'History of World Mission', 'God Designed Marriage', 'Creation and Science', 'Business as Mission' and 'Faith in the Era of A.I.'.
The Great Commission Mission Conference (GCMC) successfully united believers from around the world to reaffirm their faith and commitment to the Great Commission. The event's comprehensive program, featuring lectures centered on Jesus Christ and mission field insights, ignited a renewed sense of purpose. The diverse workshops further equipped attendees to navigate modern challenges as Christians. As the conference concludes, its impact resonates globally, having kindled a passion for the Gospel, empowered workers for the harvest, and equipped believers to face the complexities of today's world with steadfast faith.
