The joint Olivet Academy (OAc) and Olivet Teen Mission (OTM) International Summer Camp has confirmed its location dates as well as themes. Last week, it was announced that the camp will be held in Olivet Asia Pacific Center in South Korea at the beginning of August. And the dates have been confirmed to be August 1 to August 13.
In addition to this, selected theme is based on 1 Peter 2:9 - "You Are A Chosen People". OTM Preparation staff prayed and discussed about a theme that acknowledges the second generation and how they ought to know their identity as those chosen by God in this world. The hope is that the second generation children and teens who join this program will be able to leave the camp with a greater conviction of their identity in Christ.
This year, the program is expecting about 200 children and teens, those born between 2002 and 2009. Gathering in such Summer Camp allows teens to put aside all other distractions to fully focus on the Lord through Bible lectures, prayers, and fellowship. It is through this time that they can build Christ-centered friendships that will also be foundational for their path of faith. Even more, through having the camp at the Olivet Asia Pacific Center located in South Korea, the OTM staff believes that children and teens will understand better the spiritual foundation, heart, and history that the World Olivet Assembly was founded on.
