Diakonos Club Marks 18 Years of Faithful Service to Christ and His Church

Diakonos Club commemorated its 18th anniversary on September 25, 2025, with a service at World Olivet Chapel. Members gathered to worship the Lord, give thanks for His grace, and renew their calling to serve Christ and His church.

The message reflected on 1 Corinthians 9, where the Apostle Paul testifies, “Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible” (NIV). Christian service is not a burden but a joyful response to the gospel. Acts 6 shows that deacons were appointed to meet the needs of the community so that the ministry of the Word could continue unhindered, teaching believers that caring for the body of Christ is as vital as proclaiming the message directly.

The gathering became a moment of thanksgiving for eighteen years of God’s faithfulness and a renewal of commitment to live as servants of Christ. Members prayed to run the race with endurance, strengthened not by ease of labor but by the meaning of their calling in the Lord.

Established in 2007, Diakonos Club is a fellowship of deacons and ministry leaders dedicated to serving churches and ministries with financial provision, stewardship, and practical support. Its name, drawn from the Greek word διάκονος, meaning servant or minister, reflects the biblical model of humble service and faithful devotion to the work of the kingdom.

This anniversary testified once more to the grace of God in raising servants for His church, and it reaffirmed the mission of Diakonos: to stand firm in the Word, to serve with endurance, and to press on until Christ is proclaimed to the ends of the earth.
