From August 14 to 16, 2025, believers from over 20 countries gathered in Olivet Asia Pacific Center in Korea for the Great Commission Mission Conference (GCMC), an event filled with prayer, worship, and powerful messages that stirred hearts and strengthened faith. The conference brought together people of many nations, languages, and backgrounds, all with one desire - to live for the Lord and obey His final command: to make disciples of all nations.
The atmosphere was full of expectation from the beginning. Weeks before the conference began, churches across Korea worked in unity to invite newcomers and prepare spiritually. Weekly online prayer meetings brought believers together to seek God's guidance and power. As the opening day arrived, it was clear that God was already at work.
Each session of GCMC was filled with heartfelt worship, deep reflection on the Word of God, and messages that challenged participants to follow Christ boldly. The teachings reminded all that true rest is not found in the world but in living for God's eternal kingdom. Many participants shared that they were deeply moved, realizing again the joy and peace that come only from Christ.
On the final day, a special testimony session allowed attendees to share how God had touched their lives during the conference. Stories poured out from young people who had traveled long distances, some across multiple countries, to be there. They spoke about healing from past pain, discovering new purpose, and being filled with hope and strength to live for the gospel.
One participant shared how they had felt unworthy, asking, "Why me?" - but left with a deep confidence that God had chosen them for His work. Another said they had struggled with pride and fear, but through prayer and the Word, they were renewed and ready to follow the Lord's calling. There were stories of peace replacing anxiety, love overcoming shame, and hearts revived by the simple truth that God sees, knows, and leads each one personally.
What stood out most throughout GCMC was the unity of the body of Christ. Despite different languages and backgrounds, participants became like one family in God. Many expressed joy in worshiping together, sharing meals, praying for one another, and discovering how the same Holy Spirit works across all nations.
The conference ended with a closing message based on Joshua 1, calling all to rise with faith and live with loyalty to the Lord's command. The speaker emphasized that what matters most is not talent or ability, but a faithful heart. The call to the congregation was: to go, to make disciples, and to live joyfully for Christ even when it is difficult or seems foolish to the world.
GCMC 2025 was a turning point for many - young and old - who left with a new fire in their hearts. They were not only encouraged but activated to live as true disciples, spreading the gospel in their countries, cities, schools, and workplaces. As one participant said, "God gave me new strength. Now I want to live not for myself, but to help others meet Jesus."
As the churches return to their mission fields, the impact of this gathering continues. The seeds planted through GCMC are already growing into action, prayer, and mission. And through this, the hope remains strong - that revival will spread, one life at a time, until the whole world hears the good news of Jesus Christ.
