On May 6, 2025, staff members of the World Olivet Assembly (WOA) attended the 12th Annual Dutchess County Leadership Prayer Breakfast, a gathering that brought together approximately 450 Christians for a morning of intercession, worship, and encouragement. Hosted by Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino, the breakfast provided a public space where faith and leadership came together in full view-without apology and without compromise.
WOA, a proud annual sponsor of the event, was once again honored to support this expression of Christian unity and conviction. For the WOA staff who participated, the experience was deeply encouraging-a visible reminder that there remains a strong, vocal Christian community in Dutchess County that is not afraid to gather and lift high the name of Jesus Christ.
The program featured a thoughtful lineup of Scripture readings, prayers, and music. Hon. Edward T. McLoughlin opened with prayer, followed by Bible readings from leaders including Hon. Jack Sweeney, Rachel Nigro, and Sabrina Jaff Marzouka. Cheryl Coppola led a prayer for national leaders, and Dennis Barnett delivered a message grounded in biblical truth. Musical worship was led by the Calvary Chapel Ensemble, who performed both "God Bless America" and "Amazing Grace," filling the room with reverence and joy.
For WOA, being present wasn't merely about sponsorship-it was about standing in fellowship with other believers and affirming their own evangelical Christian identity.
As one attendee from WOA shared, "It's a blessing to stand in a room full of people who aren't just going through the motions, but who actually love Christ and are willing to say so." That kind of public, shared faith is something WOA cherishes and strives to uphold in every community it serves.
