WOA Entering Final Stretch of Preparations for Upcoming 30th World General Assembly

OAPC

The World Olivet Assembly (WOA) is finalizing the preparations for its upcoming 30th World General Assembly (WGA) that will be held at its Olivet Asia Pacific Center (OAPC) near Seoul, Korea from October 28-30. With hundreds of participants coming from every region of the world, the annual gathering is a time of worship and celebration for what God has done in the various churches and ministries over the past year. And it provides an opportunity to look ahead together at what is yet to come.

This year’s theme is taken from Matthew 6:10: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven,” and expresses the desire to see God’s Kingdom established in every aspect of society. Every believer has his or her unique calling from God to discern His will for their lives and the ministry they are called to serve in, so they can be salt and light in the world and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those around them near and far.

The WGA 2022 also marks the 30th anniversary since the beginning of the movement that would later become WOA with its various affiliated ministries and fellowships. What has started as a tiny mustard seed has now grown to a network of churches, ministries and partners that has branched out globally and focus on bringing together believers and serving in various areas of society. The seven tracks at the WGA reflect this diversity as participants gather in sessions according to their area of calling, such as mission, prayer, education, business, medical and more.

With times of worship, services, fellowship, panel discussions and workshops, the WGA will also provide time for sharing of experiences, best practices and strategic discussions looking at the plans for the coming years.

“We give thanks for all the blessings that God has poured down over the past thirty years. We can testify that even if we sow the seed or water them, it is only God who makes things grow, and to Him be all the glory,” the WOA leadership expressed.

“It is our prayer that this upcoming WGA will be a time when we can reflect on God’s faithfulness and give thanks for His goodness. And as we look forward, that we can think about God’s will and His desire to see His Kingdom established as more people find their way back to His love and accept the salvation He offers in Jesus Christ,” they added.
