Burlington Agape Community Church held a Chinese New Year event on the eve of the holiday for church members, newcomers, and some families from the local community.
The church event on February 4 included an introduction about Chinese New Year, a time to give thanks for God's blessing this past year, a hopeful look at the year ahead, and a meal for the participants.
The minister handed out verse cards to attendees with hope that the these would be what was needed for them at this time. A verse for one participant described God as a source of peace and strength, while another declared that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
The minister will follow up with a pair of new students who joined to offer them bible studies and opportunity to join future services. Thanks to God for being with the church and His many blessings.
