The continental HQ, located in Zambia, is working with a number of youth ministries to strengthen the youth leadership in the region. The plan includes holding a number of major conferences and training sessions throughout this year. Also discussed is to enhance Christian education in 5 major languages that dominates the region: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic.
Countries such as Uganda, South Sudan, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Rwanda are witnessing a rise in youth leadership and are actively participating in ministry to expand their numbers. For those who are experiencing God at a young age, receiving wisdom by practicing the fundamentals of evangelical faith is essential.
An official from Youth Evangelical Fellowship, one of the three international ministries Olivet Assembly works with, exhorted in a recent youth conference, "As a young leader, we should really stick to these three things: Reading(studying the Bible), Praying, Teaching. We should remember to equip ourselves with reading scriptures and prayer. And with that, we can also teach others."
Africa being a countries where the population of the youth will rise to 663 million by 2050*, WOA identifies the youth of Africa as one of the most important demographic to reach and to raise up as the leaders in the next three decades.
