Gratia Church in Nairobi, Kenya, is preparing a Bible Camp for teens in its city for the end of July. The church has been holding various programs to bring teens of the city to know the Bible and the word of God. Pastor Fredrick, the Pastor of Kenya Church, has organized diverse activities to communicate the gospel to this vulnerable and sensitive age groups.
"Many are spending the most susceptible time of life surrounded by wrong ethical habits and relationships. Parents are too busy to educate their children and to teach them to form right attitudes in terms of forming relationships and preparing for their future," the Pastor asserted. "It is crucial to lay this kind of platform where teens can gather and receive the word of God in order to shape their life influenced and inspired by the truth."
Teens living in poorer areas are bound to face underprivileged situations, lack of education, and lack of mentoring. Those children often end up being in a wrong place or immoral relationships in a fallen state and which are hard to recover from a normal life. The church wishes to reach out to those innocent teens to help them fathom the depth of the Word and the Scripture.
The program will be held firstly for forty teens in July. Teens in the ages between 12 and 19 are invited to join the program. Nairobi Church aims to gather five hundred teens by the end of this year with the preparation of a bigger space and different resources.
Gratia Church has been in constant contact with local schools to enlarge their programs into the communities.
"The best gift in life for teens is to let them know Jesus and experience His blessing," the Nairobi Church minister, Ms. Jane, said.
