The leaders in Olivet Assembly of South Asia had conference and decided that they will adopt two-pronged approach in achieving the goal. The first is by recruitment of pastors, congregations and churches, the second is by multiplication - increasing the current strength through various outreaches.

Recruitment and Multiplication are the keywords for growth in the region.

1). Pioneering, Church Planting in Urban and Rural Mission:

Besides, in order for proper growth the mission is divided into two - the first is mission towards the Rural part of the countries in the region, the second is towards the Urban part of the region.

In the rural mission, various programmes especially projects like Olivet Children Project will be emphasized and implemented so that there will be a good increase in members as well as recruitment of leaders can take place.

In the Urban mission, other programmes such as music classes, language classes, and various other outreach programmes will be implemented.

The recruitment team made report last month and made schedule to start touring from February itself so that a good number of them can be recruited by April, the end of the first quarter of 2017.

2). Leaders Training under Indian Leadership Institute:

The recruited members as well as potential members from multiplication strategies will be trained and educated under India/South Asia Christian Leadership Institute which will further enhance the growth.

"Leaders must live with this tension - holy and righteous tension of raising new leaders," said OA South Asia general secretary.

3). Orphanage Expansion:

The first Orphanage Home is expected to grow and reach its thresholds in this year. Their education and other needs will be looked into so that the increment in number can be accommodated as the growth is expected to touch hundred thousand in five years.

4). Olivet Children Project Expansion:

Olivet Children Project will expand to all the major cities in the region and more in India. The project is taking care of numerous children in East Delhi and Chennai. This will increase in 2017 with 30 centres commissioned to care for under-privileged children.
